Dennis Day and the cast of Cinderella
This 1949 “Little Nipper story book album” on two “non breakable” 78 rpm records is the story of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs as told by Dennis Day, fresh from his succes as Johnny Appleseed in Walt Disney’s animated feature Melody Time. He also recorded two other stories for RCA Victor: Snow White and Dopey, and Snow White and Sneezy.
The part of Snow White is played and sung by Ilene Woods, and the Queen is played by Eleanor Audley. Both were then recording the parts of Cinderella and Lady Tremaine respectively for Walt Disney’s Cinderella, which came out the year after.
The album was reissued on CD in 2025.
