This 27-page copy is no. 984, volume 38, published on March 5, 1938. The cover shows Joan Crawford, Franchot Tone & Robert Young in a still from The Bride Wore Red, a film starring an uncredited peasant girl called… Adriana Caselotti: the voice of Snow White. Annabella, Olivia de Havilland and many other stars can also be found in the pages of this issue.

Right from the 2nd page, there is an article, almost an advertisement, whose main attraction lies in the large-format reproduction of two illustrations: one by Gustaf Tenggren where the dwarfs discover the Princess, and one by Tom Moore where Snow White is surrounded by animals. The caption on the first image introduces the characters:
“Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs – Doc, the self-appointed leader; Happy, a fat roly-poly little fellow; Sleepy, who sees life through half-closed eyes; Grumpy, the real leader of the group; Dopey, a lovable slightly crazy fellow; Sneezy, who has hay fever and talks through his nose; and Bashful, kind, willing, and romantic.”
And the caption for the second image:
“Snow White with the little forest creatures. The long-awaited Technicolor film is having its premiere at the New Gallery Cinema, London. It was started 3 years ago, has cost more than a quarter of a million pounds to make, and required more than two-and-a-half million drawings.”
