Although this version was announced in early Augut in the press for an October 28 premiere, it seems that it actually premiered earlier and was very successful. However, by March 15, 1939, the nazis invaded Czechoslovakia and the posters of the film were covered with German texts. It is unclear wether the film was still shown in Czech or in German, or both.
