Find on this page the lobby cards used to promote the film during its successive releases in France and in Luxembourg.

1938

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs was first released by RKO Radio Films S.A. at the Marignan Theater, on the Champs Elysées of Paris, on May 6, 1938. These lobby cards were used then and when the film went on general release. The French lobby cards were 8.3″x10.6″ in size, whereas the Luxembourg ones were 8.3″x10″, but the visuals were the same.

1951

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs was re-released by RKO Radio Films S.A. on August 31, 1951. The French lobby cards were 8.3″x10.6″ in size. 3 sets were available: 1 set of 12 color photos with text, 1 set A of 12 cardboard photos with text, and 1 set B of 12 cardboard photos with text.

This is the only year in which the film’s title is slightly modified with a hyphen in the heroine’s name. All posters and lobby cards thus read “Blanche-Neige et les sept nains” instead of “Blanche Neige et les sept nains”. This spelling persists in French-speaking Quebec.
