Art and story book
The text of this limited edition book tells the story of Walt Disney’s film Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, but it is an excuse to show reproductions of art made by studio artists during production of the animated feature film. Hence, this was the first glimpse that teh general public could have of such a large number of storyboard, layout or animation drawings of Snow White: over 400 of them grace these pages.
In addition, four serigraphs printed on acetate are bound within the book to emulate production cels, even though they are original paintings.
The book’s white leather cover, which emulates the prop storybook of the film, has raised bands along the spine and 22-karat gold leaf highlights. The book is housed in a red cloth-bound slipcase.
The content of the book was repurposed in a more accessible edition by Viking Press.

Music video
In 1982, child star Nikka Costa sang the single “So Glad I Have You,” and in the music video, characters from Snow White can be seen hanging on the wall, along with pages from the book by Circle Fine Art and Christopher Finch’s book “The Art of Walt Disney“.
