The Fairest One of All – The Making of Walt Disney’s Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs

This book written by John Bader Kaufman is one of two books published in conjunction with the 2012 art exhibit at the Walt Disney Family Museum: Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs – The Art and Creation of Walt Disney’s Classic Animated Film. The exhibit was held to celebrate the 75^th anniversary of the film and was one of the first exhibition of the recently opened museum.

The Fairest One of All was available to buy from October 16, 2012 and was published by The Walt Disney Family Foundation Press (ISBN 13: 978-1-61628-438-1 – ISBN 10: 1-61628-438-2). The Foreword was written by Diane Disney Miller, the daughter of the producer. It is 320 pages, four parts and fifteen chapters long and the embossed dustjacket reproduces the original one-sheet poster design by Gustaf Tenggren. The cover is a title-less reproduction of a production background of the cottage.

New and never before information and visuals are published here for the first time and popular myths are debunked such as the oft printed story of the ink and paint girls applying makeup onto the cels.
