British Mickey
Published from October 25, 1975 to March 28, 1981 by IPC Magazines Ltd., Mickey Mouse Magazine was a weekly British title in the style of the Belgian Mickey Magazine. The format seemed less popular in Great Britain since the magazine was retitled numerous times (Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck, Mickey Mouse in Disneyland, Mickey Mouse and Disney Time) and only lasted less than five years.
The magazine made ample use of the many characters of the Disney universe in their comic strips, and in the very last months of its existence, the magazine accompanied the 1980 British reissue of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. The film also inspires appearances by the characters in the magazine’s various regular sections such as “The Disney Film Show” that chronicles a Disney feature, games, contests, etc. The last issue was the 280th, only 8 weeks after the last Snow White strip was published.
