With a Story and a Song
This American release is the 45 rpm version of a recording that was also issued on 78 rpm (R721). Side A features “Heigh-Ho – Heigh-Ho,” performed by the Sandpiper Singers with Mitch Miller and his orchestra. Side B contains one of the most condensed recorded tellings of the complete Snow White story: an uncredited female narrator races through it in just 1 minute and 37 seconds.
Unlike the yellow 78 rpm edition, this version is pressed on standard black vinyl. The cover adapts artwork by Campbell Grant originally created for the 1952 Big Golden Book. Since microgroove records were still relatively new at the time, a blue banner was added to highlight that this is a 45 rpm release.
