The Gremlins are characters created in 1942 by Roal Dahl who tried, with Walt Disney, to adapt the concept into a cartoon in 1943. Eventually, they only created a book and fourty years later, Joe Dante made a feature called Gremlins, and included a nod to Walt Disney. A key scene takes place in a movie theater projecting Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs with the 1983 re-release poster in front of the entrance.
