This 8-page catalog was printed for books published by Hachette for the winter holidays of 1938 – 1939. It’s worth noting that it doesn’t feature “Noël 1938” (Christmas 1938), but rather “Etrennes 1939” (Newyears 1939), traditionally an occasion for offering books.
In the pages of the catalog, we find Snow White books such as the Hop-là album, whose cover inspired that of the present catalog, the Hachette history book, the rare Rey cut-out books, as well as Mickey books including the politically incorrect “Mickey Roi de Bamboulie”, Pluto, Donald, Nimbus, Felix the Cat, Babar, Tarzan, and so on.
