Pathé’s accordion
This 78 rpm record, released in June 1938 by Pathé under catalog number PA 1550, features two songs from Snow White arranged in a foxtrot style. This is the second record by Fredo Gardoni and Odette Moulin after the PA 1549 disc with the songs “Heigh-Ho” and “Some Day My Prince Will Come”. Here, she sings French versions of “Whistle While You Work” and “With a Smile and a Song”.
As was often the case at the time, the orchestra’s name is given top billing in larger type. “Fredo Gardoni and His Ensemble” was, in fact, more recognizable to the public than the singer, Odette Moulin, who had nonetheless enjoyed a certain level of fame for several years.
