The second part of the cut sequence was the actual construction of the gift by the dwarfs and animals: a bed to fit Snow White.
Deleted for the same reasons as the first part, this sequence is also reconstructed in the supplements of the video editions since the Laserdisc.
It was intended to echo sequence 3D in which the young girl and the animals clean the house. Perhaps it’s because of this sequence, often repeated in picture books, that some people remain convinced to this day that the dwarfs also sing the song “Whistle as You Work”.
To capitalize on the work already done on these cut sequences, a short film project entitled Snow White Returns was studied shortly after the film’s release.
