This meeting focused on the dwarfs. Bashful’s name is replaced by Baldy and a new dwarfs called Pumpkin appears. Briefs suggestions are made about the spooks, the bedroom, the entertainment, and the bed-building sequences.
SUGGESTIONS AND NOTES AT SOUND STAGE MEETING – FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 16, 1934
Suggestion made that dwarfs make fast getaway when scared (like rabbit in the Tortoise and the Hare). They then peek out.
When DOC speaks – to talk as W.C. Fields would speak.
DOPEY’S hat could go up on scare – candle could go up off wick, also, then back down again.
PUMPKIN could get on DOPEY’S foot, when he falls over backwards as the dwarfs are holding the door and suddenly let go on the outside.
GRUMPY and HAPPY have contrasting arguments as a pessimist and an optimist.
Names okayed for dwarfs: BALDY for Bashful; DOC, GRUMPY, SLEEPY, HAPPY.
Everyone in the studio to be asked to submit verses for the dwarfs’ song, “Eeny Meeny Miny Moe.”
One dwarf could be practicing a presentation speech during bed building sequence.
Take out the vote-taking action from sequence of dwarfs and SNOWWHITE in bedroom. Outside of house seen all lighted up (when we come back to it after Queen sequence). Cross dissolve to entertainment in full swing.
