Floyd Gottfredson remembered Hal Adelquist as a sort of personal agent for Walt Disney. Hal brought to his attention a piece from Liberty Magazine supposedly written by Gracie Allen, actually ghost-written by Bill Walsh and that’s how the future producer of Mary Poppins was hired to work for the comic strip department.
Hal became associate producer on the Mickey Mouse Club TV Show.
